Texas Seashell Jamboree 2012
Members of the Houston Conchology Society
invite all Texas shellers to join us on
May 4-6, 2012,
for a weekend to celebrate shells.
Registration will begin at
2:00 p.m.
on Friday,
May 4.
Participants will enjoy a welcome party, programs, a shell
show, vendor tables, door prizes, a banquet, oral and silent auctions and
socializing with other collectors.

HOTEL:
The event will be at
Four Points by Sheraton Memorial City; 10655 Katy Freeway
(I-10 west); Houston, Texas.
In order to get the
Jamboree room rate, reservations must be made by
April 3, 2012.

Room Rates:
traditional king room $79 per night, king suite $89
per night, double suite $99 per night.
These rates do not include 17% tax.
JAMBOREE SHIRTS: The Jamboree shirts are a vivid royal blue polo style and are wicking. The women’s shirt has a v-neck front, collar, short sleeves and a fitted ladies’ cut (a little tapered in the waist). The men’s shirt has the traditional button placket, collar, short sleeves and straight cut fit. In both styles, sizes S-XL cost $25 and sizes 2XL-4XL cost $28. Sizes run a little small, so you may need to order a size larger than normal. A larger shirt in a different fabric (but same color) is available in sizes 5XL-10XL. The cost is $28. SHELL SHOW: We invite you to enter the Mini-Tiny
Shell Show.
Bring your smallest shells to display.
HCS will provide tiny display boxes.
Entrants must
be a member of a Texas shell club.
VENDOR TABLES: Participants who wish to sell
shells or shell related material may rent one table (per family) for $50 to sell their merchandise
on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
Sellers must
be a member of a Texas shell club.
REGISTRATION:
If you want to order a shirt, your
registration must be received by
March 20.
If you don’t order a shirt the registration must be received by
April 3.
We hope you join us for a shellingly fun
weekend.
Bring your family and friends.
The area around the hotel offers many other
activities.
Stay an extra day and visit the Houston Museum of Natural
Science.
